CAREFULLY READ ALL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR USE PROVIDED WITH THIS CONTAINER. All users must ensure that they have read the recommendations for use and follow their advice before using the product.
1. WARNING
PROCEED WITH EXTREME CAUTION TO AVOID DRIFTING.
DO NOT MIX, STORE OR APPLY ROUNDUP 360 PLUS IN GALVANIZED OR UNLINED STEEL CONTAINERS OR SPRAY TANKS.
DO NOT leave the spraying mixtures in the tank for long periods of time and ensure that the tanks are well ventilated.
2. GENERAL PROPERTIES
ROUNDUP 360 PLUS Herbicide is an aqueous solution containing 360 g/l glyphosate. It is a broad spectrum foliar herbicide. It is absorbed by the leaves and translocated to the underground roots, rhizomes and stolons to control both annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds. When ROUNDUP 360 PLUS is applied prior to harvesting certain crops, it provides a number of harvest management benefits in addition to weed control resulting from the removal of green material from the crop. ROUNDUP 360 PLUS is recommended for the control of annual and perennial weeds in non-crop areas, e.g. roadsides, paths, hard surfaces and along fences and walls. It is recommended for cleaning weedy soil before planting or sowing, for complete weed control in industrial areas and for controlling weeds in water. ROUNDUP 360 PLUS can also be used as a targeted spray on ornamental plants and in forestry for site preparation and post-planting treatments.
ROUNDUP 360 PLUS is rapidly adsorbed onto particles in soil and water and is quickly broken down by microorganisms in soil and water sediments. Once absorbed, the herbicidal properties of ROUNDUP 360 PLUS are lost, allowing seeding within 24 hours of application. When applied as directed, any water that has been sprayed with ROUNDUP 360 PLUS can be used immediately for irrigation purposes. The active ingredient in ROUNDUP 360 PLUS, glyphosate, is virtually immobile in the soil until it breaks down and is therefore unlikely to contaminate groundwater.
Symptoms of the weed
The first treatment symptoms usually appear 7 to 10 days or longer (with slow growth) after spraying. They manifest themselves in the form of leaf reddening and subsequent yellowing and generally occur more quickly in grasses than in broad-leaved weeds.
The reaction of the nettles is slow.
When controlling aquatic weeds, leaf symptoms usually appear on reeds and grasses within 14 to 21 days after spraying in early fall. Complete drying of the leaves usually occurs 30 to 40 days after spraying. At this stage, the reeds can be cut off and removed. In cold weather, leaf symptoms may not appear until after natural dieback, but no more growth will occur in the season following spraying.
Effects of the weather
After applying ROUNDUP 360 PLUS herbicide, there must be a period of at least 6 hours, preferably 24 hours, without rain.
Do not spray in windy conditions as the drift onto the desired plants or crops could severely damage or destroy them.
Do not spray on weeds suffering from drought, waterlogging, heat or frost, as this may result in poor control.
3. SUSCEPTIBILITY TO WEEDS
ROUNDUP 360 PLUS herbicide controls most emerging grasses and broadleaf weeds. It is important that all weeds are at the correct growth stage at the time of treatment. Failure to do so may result in regrowth which will require re-treatment.
Apply ROUNDUP 360 PLUS herbicide as soon as grasses and broadleaf weeds have emerged and have actively growing green leaves.
- Grasses that grow all year round must have healthy, green leaves.
(Common Couch, for example, becomes vulnerable at the beginning of the
tillering and new rhizome growth, which usually occurs when the plants have 4-5 leaves with 10-15 cm of new growth each).
- Perennial broad-leaved weeds are most susceptible around the flowering period.
- Annual grasses and broad-leaved weeds should have a leaf length of at least 5 cm or 2 fully-grown true leaves. On set-aside areas, annual grasses are best treated at the time of full spike emergence or before stem elongation. Annual grasses, e.g. blackgrass and brome species, that are applied to set-aside areas between the end of April and the end of May may not be adequately controlled and may require re-treatment.
- BRACKEN should be treated after the frond tips have unfolded, but in the pre-fertility stage.
- WATER WEEDS should be treated when the weeds are actively growing and the green leaves are fully developed, at flowering time and before they die. The best results are achieved with applications from mid-August to mid-September for reeds.
- OTHER TYPES - Recommendations for specific applications can be found in the recommendation tables on pages 6 - 15.
- This product is not sufficient to control horsetail (Equisetum arvense) - repeated treatment is necessary.
4. TANK MIXTURES
Adjuvants
For use in forestry: Mixture B can be added at a rate of 2 % of the spray volume.
DO NOT APPLY TO ESSENTIAL CROPS, GREENLAND OR UNCROSSED WATER. ROUNDUP 360 PLUS must not be mixed into the tank when using rotary atomizers.
N.B. For hydraulic sprayers: when using ROUNDUP 360 PLUS in the tank mixture, ensure constant stirring.
For backpack sprayers: mix thoroughly and use immediately if ROUNDUP 360 PLUS is used in tank mix.
5. APPLICATION
a) Conventional hydraulic sprayers
Backpack sprayers and tractor-mounted or motorized sprayers can be used. These should be able to accurately apply 80 - 400 l/ha at a pressure range of 1.5 - 2.5 bar (20 - 35 psi).
Medium volume application
Avoid high volumes of water that may cause run-off from the treated vegetation, resulting in reduced control. Use nozzles that produce a medium or coarse spray (BCPC definition) to minimize the risk of drift:
z. e.g. Knapsack Hypro AN 2.0, AN 4.0 Cooper Pegler Floodjet green, red
Tractor Hypro 04-F110, 08-F110 Tee Jet 11004, 11008
Low volume application
Nozzles that produce a medium spray jet (BCPC definition) should be used to minimize the risk of drift,
z. e.g. Knapsack Cooper Pegler VLV 100 Hypro AN 1.0 Tractor Hypro Lo Drift
Filling the sprayer
Knapsack Stir the correct amount of ROUNDUP 360 PLUS into at least 2 liters of clean water in a plastic bucket. Pour this solution into a half-filled sprayer and fill up with water.
Tractor assembly To avoid foaming, do not stir the tank from above. Fill the spray tank halfway with clean water, stir gently and then add the correct amount of ROUNDUP 360 PLUS. Fill the tank to the desired level with water. It may be necessary to use a defoamer.
b) Rotary atomizer
When using rotary atomizers to apply ROUNDUP XL, make sure that the droplet diameter is in the range of 200-300 microns for all applications.
- A spray volume of 10 - 40 l/ha can be applied with hand-operated machines, e.g. Herbi and Herbaflex.
- The Ulvaforest tractor-mounted sprayer is suitable for use in forests to apply a spray volume of 40 l/ha.
- Rotary atomizers can be used to control aquatic weeds; the water volume must be 10 - 40 liters.
Filling the spray bottle - hand-held machines
Stir the correct amount of ROUNDUP 360 PLUS into the spray bottle half-filled with clean water. Fill up with water, close the lid and shake carefully to ensure good mixing.
c) General, non-selective applications
Ulva and dung flower
These applicators are ONLY recommended for use in forest areas. The principle of application is to drive the herbicide onto the target weeds, taking care to ensure that this product does not come into contact with all the desired species.
Apply a total spray volume of 10 - 20 l/ha in Ulva and 90 - 175 l/ha in Mistblower and use the correct dose of ROUNDUP 360 PLUS herbicide to control the respective target species.
d) Weed wiper
ROUNDUP 360 PLUS can be applied via the Weedwiper Mini. Use a concentration of 1 part ROUNDUP 360 PLUS to 2 parts water and add a water-based scarlet dye if required. Care should be taken to ensure that it does not drip onto the desired vegetation.
Calibration
All sprayers should always be calibrated before use. This is important if the nozzles are changed or if a different product dose is to be applied.
Maintenance of the sprayers
Ensure that the sprayer is in perfect condition and replace damaged, worn or defective parts before use. Carry out maintenance in accordance with the sprayer manufacturer's instructions.
Sprayer Hygiene
Between applications of this product and other pesticides, it is essential to thoroughly clean spray tanks, pumps and piping as well as nozzle and disk systems with a recommended cleaning agent to avoid contamination by pesticide residues.
Caution
1. always wash the sprayer thoroughly before and after use.
2. do not mix or apply in galvanized or mild steel containers, such as old steel drums or galvanized watering cans.
6. AREAS OF APPLICATION, PRICES, WATER VOLUME AND SCHEDULE
- See recommendation tables.
7. HAND-HELD DEVICES:
7.1 Backpack syringe applicators
- Use in orchards, non-cultivated landscapes and bodies of water.
- Most knapsack sprayers deliver a spray volume of 200 l/ha (or 10 l per 500 m2) at a walking speed of 1 m/sec for a swath 1 m wide.
- To apply 4.0 l/ha ROUNDUP 360 PLUS, use a 2 1TP3 solution (e.g. 200 ml ROUNDUP 360 PLUS to 10 liters).
- When used as described above, backpack sprayers with low pressure nozzles typically deliver 100 l/ha spray volume (or 10 liters per 1000 m2).
- To apply 4 l/ha of ROUNDUP 360 PLUS in this case, use a 4 1TP3 solution.
7.2 Rotary atomizer (e.g. Herbi, Herbaflex)

Dosage instructions (mixing table):
Minimum dosage: 25 ml to 1 liter of water.
- Mix 125 ml of concentrate to 5 liters of water (for example in a 5 liter trigger sprayer).
Spray Roundup on the leaves of the plant. Roundup is absorbed by the leaves and enters the sap flow of the plant and is thus transported to the growth center of the root and shoots. Roundup has a lasting effect in leaves, shoots and roots. The pesticide is rainfast after only 1 hour, but should be applied in dry conditions to avoid wash-off when it rains. According to the manufacturer, plants treated with Roundup can be replanted as early as 2 days, with no effect on reseeding.
Active ingredient:
Roundup 360 Plus works with the active ingredient glyphosate. Glyphosate inhibits the enzyme - EPSP in the synthesis in the metabolism of the plant, which is needed for the production of amino acids.
Glyphosate is a broad-spectrum herbicide. It prevents the absorption of nutrients in the plants. Plants die completely, including the root, after about 3 to 4 days after being wetted with Roundup.
Subsequent plants are not - or only insufficiently - controlled by Roundup 360 Plus:
- Sage Gamander
- Marsh Horsetail (Field Horsetail)
- Wall pepper
- Goutweed
