Chwastox Extra 300 SL is a herbicide in liquid form of the herbicide class MCPA.
Active ingredient content: MCPA (compound of the phenoxy acid group) - 300 g/l (26.5%)
It is mainly used to produce an aqueous solution to control annual dicotyledonous weeds. The product is applied in foliar form.
MCPA herbicides stimulate rapid growth, but the broadleaf weeds then die due to a lack of nutrition. The most common dicotyledonous weeds, among others, are controlled and the first results can be seen just a few days after treatment. The effect is very rapid, as the weeds dry out after just 4 hours. To achieve even better results, the herbicide must be applied at a higher temperature but in a shorter period of time after treatment. This is easier to achieve than with other products.
Chwastox Extra is most effective at temperatures between 12 and 20°C. At temperatures below 8°C, application should be discontinued and an improvement in weather conditions should be awaited. The absorption rate of the herbicide and the death of the plants is also influenced by the size of the plant. The product achieves the best results when applied to weeds with 2 to 6 leaves.
Chwastox Extra is also ideal for mixtures with other glyphosate-containing products, such as HALVETIC and Roundup, and can be the basis for the development of dicotyledonous weed control programs. It is also effective against weeds at late stages of development, up to the 6-leaf stage, allowing greater flexibility in application. Chwastox Extra contains a substance to which dicotyledonous weeds have not developed resistance, so it is always effective and can be used in every season. It is also an essential component in the development of an anti-resistance strategy.
How much Chwastox Exra 300 SL per liter of water?
The product should be diluted with an appropriate amount of water before being poured into the spray tank. The recommended dose of Chwastox Extra 300 SL herbicide is 0.01 liters (10 ml) to 0.015 liters (15 ml) per 1 liter of water.
Susceptible weeds: Spring onion, meadowfoam, field bindweed, creeping thistle, goldenweed, field bindweed.
Moderately susceptible weeds: Cornflower, corn poppy.
Medium-tolerant weeds: Common starflower, field forget-me-not, mugwort orchid, rough amaranth.
Stubborn weeds: Field pansy, purple loosestrife, field bindweed, tansy, cocksfoot, field knotweed, spotted knapweed, field chamomile, cereal broom.
Susceptible weeds: Field bindweed, one-sided horsetail, chickweed, red loosestrife, white meadow-grass, dandelion, field foxtail, Canada foxtail, field foxtail, field horsetail, columbine, annual panicle, willow bark.
